Starting Nursery

Please contact the school office directly for admissions to nursery. We welcome visitors - a member of the school staff would be delighted to give you a personal tour at any time.

Starting nursery is the beginning of a new and exciting stage in your child's life. We want this start to be happy for you and your child.

Children can start our nursery from the term after their second birthday but we only have a limited number of spaces for two year olds. The majority of our nursery children start the term after their third birthday. However, if we have spaces your child may be able to start earlier. Please contact the school for up to date information regarding our admissions waiting list using our nursery and wraparound care email address:

or if you require an immediate response use our usual admin email address.

Our nursery provision is situated in a dedicated early years building. Children in nursery and reception share an amazing learning space.  The indoor room is well-equipped, light and spacious. There is a fantastic secure outside learning space, which nursery and reception children have access to all day, as well as a Forest School area and school field which they access under supervision every week.

We also have the luxury of an additional learning room. This room is used for focused work in groups such as phonics, using the state-of-the-art interactive blackboard, and noisy work such as music, where children can explore and learn about sound without disturbing others.

We use an online system to record daily assessments of your child's learning journey; photographs form part of our evidence. Staff are happy to update you daily at drop-off and pick-up on an informal basis about your child's achievements and progress. We provide a written report annually.

Our experienced staff know how to plan engaging activities which help our children maximise their learning experiences every day.

Do come and see our happy learning environment in action for yourself!
