Welcome to our School
"Relationships in school are outstanding resulting in a calm, compassionate and purposeful Christian Community. Pupils speak very positively about the whole school environment where they are nurtured and cared for as one big family." SIAMS 2015.
Welcome and thank you for visiting our website. We are extremely proud of all that goes on in our school and hope that our website gives you a flavour of our vibrant and happy learning community.
We are a small, Church of England school located in the pretty rural village of Moreton Say on the outskirts of Market Drayton, Shropshire. Moreton Say CE Primary is a special place where your child is at the heart of all we do. We believe that the care and guidance we offer will enable your child to flourish.
Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions any parent has to undertake. We do hope you find the information and content of our website helpful, whether you are an existing or prospective parent.
Our children are supported in their learning by dedicated staff, governors and parents. It is our aim to create an environment where all feel a strong sense of belonging to a safe and happy family community.
We were inspected in the Spring of 2017 by OfSTED who rated us as a ‘Good’ provider. We were also rated 'Good' by SIAMS (a Church School inspection) in the Summer of 2015. You might find it helpful to read these objective reports of our school.
Our Christian ethos and values permeate the warm relationships we build throughout our community and are reflected in our creative and engaging curriculum. We have close links with our local village church, St. Margaret of Antioch. As a Church of England school our Christian values are at our core, but we welcome and serve children and families of all faiths and none.
‘The character and culture of the school is impressive. You are proud of your Christian ethos, and pupils report that they feel safe and cared for.’ OfSTED February 2017.
Our school vision taken from the Bible story where David, a small shepherd boy, is chosen as king. ‘Man looks at how someone appears on the outside. But God looks at what is on the inside.’ 1 Samuel 16:1-13. This reflects our strong vision for equality of opportunity for all, our belief that our children can be who they want to be and the value we place on encouraging our children show kindness and friendship towards those around them and respect for our world.
Our newsletters will give you a further glimpse of life in our school. A website can only ever give a flavour of what goes on here. We welcome the opportunity to show you around personally in a tour.
My staff and I look forward to welcoming you.
