Nursery W/C 26th September

Our topic this half-term is 'The Gingerbread Man'.

We have had an exciting week in nursery, baking and decorating gingerbread biscuits. The children seemed to really enjoy baking and used mathematical language to weigh out the ingredients. 

Our challenge this week was to help the gingerbread man get across the river without being caught by the fox. We all took part in creating our own boat models using boxes, tubes, tape and scissors. There was lots of discussion and creative thinking throughout the activity.

This week we explored 2D shapes in the flour and used our fine motor skills to pick them up using pincers.

We also created our own farmyard using real hay and animals. The children were encouraged to re-tell the story of the gingerbread man, running away from all of the farmyard animals.

Well done nursery, such a super week!
