Nursery W/C 10/10/22

In nursery this week we have been exploring all things autumn.

Thank you to our PTFA who organised some autumn craft activities for nursery to take part in this week.

The children seem to have enjoyed exploring the autumn tuff tray which is out in provision for them to access during child-initiated time. 

We used our senses to explore acorns and conkers then we described their properties and discussed how they grow.

We have been counting leaves and comparing the size and shapes of the leaves.

The children took part in leaf rubbings using wax crayons which created a super effect. 

We have been learning to recognise numbers using pumpkins with numerals 1-5 on them.

During our literacy sessions we have been playing listening games and discussing our favourite parts of the story, 'The Gingerbread Man'

We have also had fun icing biscuits with our favourite characters from the Gingerbread Man story.
