Welcome back everyone, hope you had a wonderful half-term break.

We began our nursery week creating edible fireworks/sparklers and exploring mark-making with glitter and brushes.

Our new literacy topic is, 'The Three Little Pigs' and our children seem to already be enjoying the topic. The children have been repeating lines throughout the story, "I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down".

We have built model houses for our pigs using tubes and boxes. We have also been building straw, stick and brick houses for the pigs to live in.

Our small-world pigs enjoyed a dip in the 'mud' (gloop) whilst the children engaged in this sensory activity exploring language development throughout.

During our maths sessions we have been exploring 2D shapes, together we created a 'Big, Bad Wolf' collage in our special topic books.

We have been discussing the meaning of Poppies and Remembrance Day with the children. We all took part in colouring, collage and decorating poppy biscuits to take home.
