Ercall w/c 4th March

Our nursery pirates have had lots of fun this week. We went on a pirate adventure around the whole school singing,

"We are the pirates, we're on an adventure, looking for treasure, what will we find? Ready.......let's go!

We did find treasure......gold coins, jewels, pirate hats and shells. Well done Ercall!

We played pirate hide and seek outside in the nursery garden then drew our favourite hiding place in our topic books.

Our phonics sound of the week is 'h', so we have been searching for items beginning with the sound, 'h' such as, 'helicopter, hat and house'.

On Thursday we enjoyed celebrating world book day in our comfortable clothes. We acted out the Pirate story, the bear hunt and read many other wonderful stories together.

In maths this week we have been exploring, 'stable order'. Some children were able to continue a counting sequence which didn't always begin with one such as 2,3 and knowing that 4 was next.

Thank you to our PTA for joining us on Friday to help us make surprises for Mothering Sunday.

Best Wishes, Mrs Butler, Miss Hughes and Miss Sanders.
