Ercall W/C 27th November 2023

We have been exploring the frost and ice in nursery this week, the children noticed how the ice melted as the weather got warmer.

During our phonics sessions we have been concentrating on the initial sound, 'p' and we have been oral blending CVC words beginning with the phonemes s,a,t,p,i and n.

During maths we have been exploring shape. We built houses for the three little pigs using wooden blocks and painted with stickle brick shapes.

We used our topic books to draw the big bad wolf and then the children were encouraged to label/mark-make on their drawings.

Our nursery children have been practicing following instructions and developing physical muscles through parachute games which was lots of fun!

We have been making curly pig tails using playdough to develop our fine motor skills too!

A super busy week, well done Ercall!

Best wishes, Mrs Butler and the nursery team.
