Ercall W/C 25th September

We are having a wonderful week in nursery once again.

Our literacy topic is 'Peace at last' and the children have shown excitement throughout our bear themed activities.

We have been creating bear masks, bear puppets, acting out the story of the bear hunt using our tuff tray in provision and exploring the story of Goldilocks and the three bears.

Our children have made playdough which they have been exploring in our creative area- we have been making a tea party for the bears too!

Outside, we have set up an autumn tray which is full of acorns, conkers, sticks and leaves which we have collected together. The children have enjoyed discussing their findings with each other. We have also set up a dinosaur tray following the childrens interests and a bug hunt area for the children to explore using magnifying glasses and tweezers to help develop their fine motor skills.

During our phonics sessions we have been exploring oral blending games and listening activities throughout the week.
