Our nursery children have had a wonderful week back in nursery.

During our literacy sessions we have been sharing the story, 'Would you rather' by John Burningham.

We have extended this into provision, offering play with small world animals hay or wool, weetabix or shreddies, water or sand.

The children expressed their own personal feelings and choices throughout, which encouraged alot of conversation and language development.

We have been den building which linked to our story and together we built animal habitats using junk modelling materials.

We have been counting wiggly worms in 1:1 correspondence and then exploring these further in the sand tray.
