Our Week - W/C 6th March 2023

Lawley Class have had a lovely week and it has been exciting to see the snow fall this week.

In Science we managed to get out into the snow to go searching for Deciduous and Evergreen trees inside and surrounding our school grounds. We found lots of both and the children took photos independently for their books.

In maths we have been looking at one more and one less within 20 for Reception and 50 for Year One. We have also been looking at representing within these numbers using tens and ones, deines and ten frames. The children have enjoyed lots of practical maths work this week.

In English we have been looking at adjectives. Year One have been writing descriptive sentences about our topic book 'The Curious Case of the Missing Mammoth' writing from the poinft of view from Oscar the main charcater in our story. Reception have been listing adjectives to describe the characters using their phonics knowledge.

At Faith in the Forest we have been learning about Easter. The children have enjoyed making Easter story stones to show parts of The Christian Easter Story. We were so impressed by the childrens story stones they were so bright and symbolic.

A great week Lawley.
