Our Week - W/C - 3rd October 2022

We had a fantastic Friday last week visiting Market Drayton Library. The children enjoyed exploring books, listening to a group read and they even got to meet The Library pet Echo the Geeko. The children choose some stories to bring home to their adults.

This week we have been super busy as always. The children have enjoyed going to The Grove to participate in a range of cross - country activities.

In phonics Reception have learnt the 'u, r, b, f' phonemes this week whilst Year One have been working through Phase 5 sounds looking at the digraphs 'ay, oy, ou, ea'. The children have been practicing segmenting, blending and writing their new sounds, well done.

In Geography we have continued to look at polar regions focusing on cold animals in both the Artic and Antarctica. The children enjouyed writing about these animals and Year One even completed a comprehension task on cold places.

In maths we have started looking at ordering objects by amounts from smallest to greatest and least to most.

We have had another busy but fabulous week. Well done Lawley Class.
