Our Week - W/C 27th March

This last week of term has been jam-packed. We have enjoyed doing our Easter service in St Margarets Church, taking part in The PTFA Easter Hunt and we also had a coach in called Rupert to show us some scooter skills. We have all really enjoyed all these extra events,

In English the children have been finishing off their final pieces for The Curious Case of The Missing Mammoth. Children in Year One have been rewriting the story changing the character and the setting, whilst Reception have sequenced the story on a story map and added a new character. Reception have then gone on to write sentences about their new character.

In maths we have been doing length and height. All children have enjoyed measuring objects around the classroom with non standard units such as cubes, paper clips and gems. Year One had to use more equipment to measure the objects with and then place them in order from the shortest to the longest or the shortest to the tallest.

In art we have been finishing off our animal sculptures with clay. The children have really enjoyed our 3D sculpture art this term.

Next term Lawley class with be following the theme of space. We want to say a special thank you to Mrs Jones who has helped set up the children a fantastic 'Space Station' Role Play area. The children cant wait to play in it. A big thank you Mrs Jones.

Have a lovely Easter Lawley.

Mrs Greenway and Mrs Dykes.
